*Damona* is a crescent-shaped shawl with impressive contrasts. It is made of two different types of laceweight yarn: one variegated, and one solid-coloured. The solid colour is supposed to match the colourway of the variegated yarn. The best effect is reached if the solid-coloured laceweight yarn is a hairy one. In the main part, both yarns are held together, interspersed with some single-ply rows. The different types and colours of the yarn create a fascinating mixture. The shawl is finished with a beautiful, single-ply lace edging.
The pattern contains two versions of the edging, suitable for different skill levels. The pattern is charted.
