Sock *Xena*

The sock *Xena* has a clear and graphical Matrix style pattern - an easy-to-knit slip stitch cable technique. The design requires 2 different solid-coloured sockyarns. Raised lines of twisted slipped stitches start after the decorative rolled cuff and cross each other around the leg and on the instep, ending at the toe.
Even though the pattern looks impressive, it is rather easy to knit: In each round, only one colour is used. The colour changes after each round. The cables/twists consist of two stitches only and can be easily worked without a cable needle.
Instructions for heel and toe are not included; these are worked according to your preference.

Size: EU 39-41 / US 8.5/9.5 / UK  6-7
Yarn: 4ply / fingering / sockyarn, in 2 colours, both solid
Needle size: 2,0 - 2,5 mm (US 0 - 1,5)
Yardage: approx. 170 m (190 yds) per colour
Skill level: 2-3 (1 easy – 5 difficult)
